Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned one example of this poster, and that was 18 years ago. The buyer of that poster had it linenbacked and has now reconsigned it to us, so this is still the only example we have ever auctioned!

Note that for a brief time during World War II (WWII) Australia printed their daybills in a 10" x 30" format (no doubt to conserve on paper, because they had been printing daybills in a 15" x 40" size, and by going to 10" x 30", they were able to print four daybills with the same amount of paper they used to print two!). The poster is NOT trimmed!

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had a few tiny bits of paper loss and tiny faint stains in parts of the borders and minor fold wear. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above.
