Artist: Al Hirschfeld Important Added Info: Note that this poster has great artwork by the legendary Al Hirschfeld! A collector of Hirschfeld art tells us that to the best of his knowledge, this artwork was never used on first release movie paper (though it was used in trade publications), so this Hirschfeld art is only found on 1958 re-release posters. While we have had 1958 re-release lobby cards before, this is only the second time we have ever had this really cool one-sheet (and the least time was in 2013 and it sold for $1,012!). Note also that this poster has been trimmed and it now measures 27" x 40 1/2" [69 x 103 cm]. Condition: good. The poster was folded somewhat oddly, resulting in some extra folds along the upper and lower horizontal fold. It has pinholes around the edges (some are torn or enlarged due to rough removal) and there are smudges at right and lower right. There are tiny red ink stains at upper center that mostly affect the "ale" of the title and yellow background paper. The upper blank border edge has been slightly trimmed. Otherwise, it is "mostly all there" and after linenbacking with some proper restoration to the above-mentioned defects (many of which are in blank white or yellow paper) the very rare poster would display well!
