Intrigue! Throbbing excitement!"; "Mighty Jungle Avenger!"; "Blazing thrills fire the flaming continent!"; "Bad men of the Congo!") starring John Hart (in the title role "as Captain Africa"), Rick Vallin, Ben Welden, June Howard, and Bud Osborne. Note that this serial was intended to be called "Return of the Phantom", about the legendary cartoon strip character, but the producer discovered at the last minute that they no longer had the rights, so rather than reacquire them, the character became "Captain Africa", and the title was changed!
