Mickey, the 1918 F. Richard Jones & James Young silent western inheritance comedy ("[Mickey is] Funnier than Charlie Chaplin, more sensational then 'The Birth of a Nation', as spectacular as 'Intolerance', a greater love story than 'Hearts of the World', with the adventure of the 'Arabian Nights'"; produced by Mack Sennett; about an orphan whose father leaves her a mine, and she is sent to relatives who think she's rich, but when they find out the mine is worthless, they treat her terribly, but ultimately, the mine proves to be very valuable, and the girl triumphs) starring Mabel Normand (in her first full-length feature; in the title role as Mickey; "She is coming! The lass you'll never forget"; "The girl of a million moods and expressions"), George Nichols, Wheeler Oakman, Minta Durfee, Laura La Varnie, and Lew Cody. Note that Normand and Cody became friends during the filming of the movie, and stayed friends even though they never made another movie together, and in 1926, they were married!

Important Added Info: Note that W. H. Productions distributed this film in 1918 under the States Rights System, which means that it was shown in areas outside of the big cities (which would have had a different distributor).
