Date Sold 8/8/2019 Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. 12 Original Vintage Theatrical (measure from 7 1/2" x 10" [19 x 25 cm] to 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm]) Movie Stills (Learn More) It's Alive (released in Italy as "Baby Killer"), the 1974 Larry Cohen killer baby horror thriller ("There's only one thing wrong with the Davis baby..."; "The One film you should not see alone"; "Whatever it is, It's Alive and deadly"; "Written, Directed and Produced by Larry Cohen") starring John Ryan, Sharon Farrell, Andrew Duggan, Guy Stockwell, James Dixon, and Michael Ansara. Note that Larry Cohen had much success in TV in the 1960s, with many serious shows, including "The Defenders". In the early 1970s, he took a major shift in his writing focus, and he had great success with blaxploitation movies like "Black Caesar" and "Hell Up in Harlem", and then he shifted yet again in the early 1980s, directing and writing the "It's Alive" horror movies! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that these stills appear in every way to be original U.S. release EXCEPT that there is one very tiny line of French type in the lower right of each still. It reads, "IMPRIME AUX ETATS-UNIS D'AMERIQUE". A collector has told us that he believes this means the stills were printed for use in areas that included French-speaking parts of Canada, but that they WERE printed in the U.S., and that makes complete sense to us (and we have seen this on stills from the 1940s through the early 2000s, so it has certainly been done for an extremely long time)! So they are original stills from 1974, but they were printed partially for use in French-speaking Canada. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here.
