An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Czechoslovakian Movie Poster (measures 22 1/2" x 32 1/2" [57 x 83 cm]) (Learn More) Emmanuelle, the 1974 Just Jaeckin French Thailand sexploitation movie ("X was never like this."; "Emmanuelle is sensual, but she's elegant... she's fantasy, but she's fun."; "From the book D'Emmanuelle" by Emmanuelle Arsan) starring Alain Cuny, Sylvia Kristel (in the title role as Emmanuelle), Marika Green ("in the role of Bee"), Daniel Sarky, Jeanne Colletin, and Christine Boisson. Note that after the success of the 1974 film Emmanuelle, many authorized sequels were created. The success also spawned many "knock-off" Emmanuelle films, which included the name Emmanuelle or its variants in their titles for exploitative reasons, but were not connected to the original series. Finally, note that this series of movies starring Sylvia Kristel was based on the book written in 1959 by Emmanuelle Arsan, although some people think that her husband, Louis-Jacques Rollet-Andriane, actually wrote the book. Of course, the actual item does not have the white bars. Note that Czech posters are similar to Polish posters, in that they often have wild completely different designs (sometimes unrelated to the movies!), but they are different from Polish posters in two important ways. One is that they come in two sizes, a small one that measures approximately 11x16, and a larger size that measures approximately 23x33 (the same as older Polish posters). The other is that the larger size has always been FAR more difficult to obtain than Polish posters! However, we have just been consigned a wonderful collection of 39 larger Czech posters (assembled over many years by a very advanced collector), and we are currently auctioning them in 39 separate auctions. This is an extremely rare opportunity to obtain many of the best Czech posters, in the larger size! Condition: very good. The poster was never folded.
