An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4") (Learn More) Of Human Hearts, the 1938 Clarence Brown Civil War romantic melodrama ("Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer's Great $5,000. Title Contest Picture."; about a thankless son who joins the Army during the Civil War, and who takes advantage of his devoted mother, only to be shown the light by none other than President Abraham Lincoln!) starring Walter Huston, James Stewart (Jimmy Stewart), Beulah Bondi (nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film), Guy Kibbee, Charles Coburn (billed as "Charles D. Coburn"), John Carradine (as President Abraham Lincoln), and Ann Rutherford NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline). Condition: very good to fine. The slide does not have a cardboard holder, but rather there is black tape around all four edges (front and back), typical of older glass slides. When we auction slides that have a cardboard holder, we provide a separate image of how the cardboard holder looks, but when we auction slides with the black tape (like this one) we only provide the scan of the glass slide image, because that really is about all there is to see.
