An Unfolded Swiss Special Poster (measures 25" x 38 1/2" [64 x 98 cm]) (Learn More) Sprengkorper im Schrott Bedeuten Tod (literally translates to "Explosives in the Scrap Mean Death"), the 1940s Swiss poster warning of the dangers of World War II (WWII) munitions, and featuring great Donald Brun art of several explosive projectiles and a stick grenade in a scrap metal pile with a skull head superimposed over it. This poster was warning of the dangers of unexploded (UXO) World War II (WWII) munitions. Of course, this problem still exists in the present day, in every country that has recently gone through a war, and there are many civilian casualties as a result of these left over unused explosives. Note that Brun was one of Switzerland's foremost and most successful poster artists, and one of the founders of the Association of Swiss Graphic Designers and Alliance Graphique Internationale. If anyone knows more about this poster, please e-mail us and we will post it here. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Donald Brun Condition: good. The poster was never folded. The poster had tiny tears around the edges with some tiny bits of paper loss. Someone tried to "fix" that by putting Scotch tape around the edges (folded over from the front to the back), but that tape has yellowed and discolored the paper where the tape is. There is also a scuff mark in the lower right of the image running from the edge of one of the explosives down into the metal below it (see our image). Learn More about condition grades
