eMoviePoster.comAuction History Result CALL OF THE KLONDIKE LC '50 Lease from Hershenson/Allen ArchiveAn Original Vintage Movie Lobby Card (Learn More) James Oliver Curwood's Call of the Klondike, the 1950 Frank McDonald Canadian Royal Mounted Police Mountie northern Yukon canine dog adventure thriller ("Based on a story by James Oliver Curwood") starring Kirby Grant, Anne Gwynne, Lynne Roberts, Tom Neal, Russell Simpson, and Chinook (billed as "The Wonder Dog"), Note that Chinook the Wonder Dog was a white dog that looked like a cross between a Siberian Husky and a German Shepherd, and he appeared in ten movies between 1949 and 1954, all set in the Yukon. We were unable to find out why Chinook's career ended so suddenly, but perhaps he had substance abuse problems or some other problem! If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
