An Original 1978 (from the first release of this movie in Italy) Vintage Theatrical Folded Italian Two-Panel (known in Italy as a "4 Fogli") Movie Poster (2p; measures 55" x 78" [140 x 198 cm]) (Learn More) Ride in the Whirlwind, the 1965 Monte Hellman cowboy western starring Jack Nicholson, Millie Perkins, Cameron Mitchell, Rupert Crosse, and Katherine Squire. Note that this movie was made in 1965, before Jack Nicholson was a star, and was quickly forgotten. In 1971, it was given a full scale release (no doubt because of Nicholson's great success in Easy Rider, Five Easy Pieces, and Carnal Knowledge). What we don't know is what the 1965 posters look like, because we have never seen ANYTHING from that release (we contacted Monte Hellman, and he said that there WERE posters made in 1965, and that he has one or more, but he would not send us an image!)! If anyone HAS seen any item from this movie dated 1965, please e-mail us and we will post it here. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
