A 1974 Re-release Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Forty by Sixty Movie Poster (measures 40" x 60") (Learn More)

The RA Expeditions, the 1971 Lennart Ehrenborg Swedish/Norwegian seafaring expedition adventure documentary ("The author of Kon-Tiki and Aku-Aku on his voyage by reed raft from Africa to America. 9 brave men prove ancient sailors could have crossed the Atlantic centuries before Columbus!") starring Thor Heyerdahl ("of Norway, leader of the expedition"), Norman Baker ("of the U.S."), Abdullah Dilbrine ("of Chad"), Santiago Geneves ("of Mexico"), Carlo Mauri ("of Italy"), Yuri Senkevitch ("of Russia"), Madani Ait Ouhanni ("of Morrocco"), Georges Sourial ("of Egypt"), Kei Ohara ("of Japan"), and narrated by Roscoe Lee Browne. Note that this movie was originally released on Swedish television in 1971 and was released in the U.S. by Interwest in a dubbed version in 1972. In 1974 Universal gave it a wide U.S. release, and almost all of the poster material known is from that 1974 re-release.
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.

Condition: good. a large number of creases throughout the poster; much tape on the back of the poster; many creases and some small tears around the edges of the poster

This poster is in "lesser" condition (what many dealers would describe as "good" or "good to very good", or in the case of posters with more serious defects, which should be easily seen on our large images, "fair")! It has clear defects, which are likely to be very noticeable in our "large" or "super-sized" images that you can click on from our small image at right. In addition, we have also noted in words what these defects are in our "Description of Defects" section above, as some of these defects may not be all that visible in the images (reading what we wrote and looking at the super-sized image should tell you right away whether it is in "good to very good", "good", or "fair" condition). We know that some collectors could accept this poster's defects, and display it as is, and we also know that many collectors would only be happy with this poster if they had it restored, so please do not bid on it unless you can accept it as it is, or are willing to pay to have it properly restored. Of course, you should realize that if you do not bid on this poster because of its condition defects, it may be quite some time before you see this poster offered again!
