Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (measures 11" x 14") (Learn More) Sunnyside, the 1919 Charles Chaplin multiple reel silent comedy short ("His Third Million Dollar Comedy"; "I'll never leave my dear old farm") starring Charlie Chaplin (Charles Chaplin), Edna Purviance, Tom Wilson (a large white man who specialized in playing black roles in the early silent days when studios were reluctant to hire African Americans; he would put burnt cork on his face and skin!; he appeared in The Kid, but not in a black role), Tom Terriss, Henry Bergman, Loyal Underwood, and Tom Wood (nicknamed "Fatty") NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that there are two sets of cards for Sunnyside. One is an 8 card set on thick paper, and the other is a 9 card set on thin paper, and the images are different on the two sets. I have not found agreement within the hobby on which set came first (or if they both came out at the same time). This lobby card is from the 9 card set. Condition: very good. tiny scuff mark in the man's image at upper center as well as some minor scuffs, smudges, and creases throughout the card (more so around the edges); tack holes and some tiny tears and paper loss around the edges of the card Learn More about condition grades
