Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster had an uneven tear in the upper left running through Stewart's neck. It had small paper loss and small stains around the edges. It had small paper loss and a circular area that is a different color in the lower background area, likely where a snipe once was. There was uneven darkening in the light background areas at top and bottom. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above. Learn More about condition grades
