An Original Vintage Campaign Book (measures 9 1/2" x 12 1/4" [24 x 31 cm]; 40 pages) (Learn More)

Columbia Pictures 1935-36 ("Columbia celebrates 15 years of achievement"), the 1935 campaign book featuring images and information for upcoming Columbia movies for those years including much publicity about Frank Capra, of course, Ronald Colman, Irene Dunne, Ruth Chatterton, Josef von Sternberg, Jean Arthur, Ann Sothern, plus much more! Each star receives mostly 2-page spreads, and sometimes their upcoming movies are named as well. Because earlier in 1935, Columbia had started their in-house publication, "Columbia Mirror", they made this studio yearbook be issue number 11 (July 29, 1935) of that magazine, even though the regular issues were only 12 or 16 pages. Therefore, this is not a "traditional" studio yearbook. There was a similar situation later at 20th Century-Fox, where they had three special issues of "Dynamo" magazine, which was their in-house studio publication (they did it in 1945, again in 1952, and again in 1961). If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here.
