An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Title Lobby Card (LC TC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Bright Lights, the 1930 Michael Curtiz New York City South Africa Broadway musical melodrama ("Story by Humphrey Pearson"; about a Broadway stage star giving her final performance and retiring, and the movie flashbacks to how she started as a cabaret singer in South Africa, including performing with mock South Seas cannibals; this was one of the very early sound musicals, and the flimsy plot was just there to connect the series of enjoyable musical numbers) starring Dorothy Mackaill, Frank Fay, Noah Beery Sr., Daphne Pollard, and James Murray. This movie was filmed in two-strip Technicolor, but sadly no Technicolor print of this has survived, only a black and white version. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned one example of this title card, and that was 19 years ago! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: good to very good. There are pinholes, tiny stains, and faint smudges around the edges, with tiny paper loss in the top right blank corner.
