Some of his movies include: Psycho, Friendly Persuasion (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film), On the Beach, The Trial, Tall Story, and Fear Strikes Out. He was diagnosed with AIDS in 1990, after the National Enquirer magazine illegally had his blood sample tested for the HIV virus. He passed away in 1992 at the age of 60 from the disease. Important Added Info: Note that these stills all feature a specific actor or actress (sometimes portraits, but often in a scene from a movie that they were in). They come from the collection of Ken Jones, who was an author of many books about old-time actors, including many character actors.
