An Original Vintage Theatrical Autographed 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Slim Pickens (born Louis Burton Lindley Jr.) was an actor from the 1940s to the 1980s, mostly appearing in B-westerns. In his later years, he started having good cameos in some major mainstream movies! Some of his movies include: The Getaway, Blazing Saddles, 1941, One-Eyed-Jacks, and Dr. Strangelove or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb (as Major 'King' Kong, who rides the bomb like a rodeo bull!). Ge passed away in 1983 at the age of 64. Important Added Info: Note that this still has been personally autographed (signed) by Slim Pickens! Note that this item was consigned to us from the family of Ken Jones, who was an author of books about movies (including books about character actors and western stars). In the course of researching his books, he became friends with many Hollywood actors, and he would ask them to autograph stills for him (originals if he had them, or repros if he did not), and they obliged, usually returning the stills to him with a personalized inscription "To Ken". The family does not have a letter of authenticity for this signed item, but we feel certain it is authentic, given Mr. Jones' personal relationship with the star. Condition: good.
