Stroszek (released in the U.S. as "Stroszek: A Ballad"), the 1977 Werner Herzog German bizarre Germany-to-Wisconsin immigration melodrama ("Your car is kaput, your girl has left you, they've sold your house but don't worry about it"; "The new film by Werner Herzog director of Kaspar Hauser and Aguirre"; about several eccentrics who move from Berlin to Wisconsin, and their bizarre adventures) starring Bruno Schleinstein (in the title role as Der Bruno Stroszek; billed as "Bruno S."), Eva Mattes, Clemens Scheitz, Wilhelm von Homburg (billed as "Prinz von Homburg"), and Burkhard Driest

Note that this item (and others we are auctioning in this set of auctions) come to us from the estate of Lee Sanders. Mr. Sanders was a nationally recognized projectionist, film poster collector, and union activist who passed away earlier this year, and the net proceeds from the sale of his varied and eclectic collection will be donated to promote film studies at the Besant School of Happy Valley in Ojai, Ca.
