Mason Hopper & Leslie Pearce romantic mistaken identity crime melodrama (a plot that was much used in the 1930s and 1940s, where gangsters send for a hit man to kill the D.A., and a mild-mannered country bumpkin is accidentally mistaken for the hit man) starring Douglas MacLean, Frances Lee, William B. Davidson, Lorraine MacLean, Charles Hill Mailes, and Francis McDonald. Note that when this movie was made, Lorraine MacLean was Lorraine Kelly, but two years after this movie, she married star Douglas MacLean, and the two remained married for five years.
