An Original 1975 (from the first release of this movie in Poland) Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Polish Movie Poster (23x33; measures 23" x 33" [58 x 84 cm]) (Learn More) the theatrical release of Duel, the 1971 Steven Spielberg made-for-TV trucker crime action thriller ("The most bizarre murder weapon ever used!"; "The killer's weapon a 40 ton truck! The victim's only defense a startling trap!") starring Dennis Weaver, Jacqueline Scott, Eddie Firestone, Lou Frizzell, Gene Dynarski, and Lucille Benson. Note that this film was released theatrically (and with a longer running time) outside of the U.S. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Jan Mlodozeniec Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster was folded across the middle and it had minor wear on that fold. There is an oddity to the printing of this poster. It has unevenness in the orange background area and some faint black scuffing scattered over many areas, plus an orange mark in the top of the arrow at middle right. All of this is within the printing and seem to clearly be printing defects. Other than the printing defects, the poster was in pretty nice condition prior to linenbacking. Someone had the poster backed onto linen with an inch of excess border all around, and then they put the poster against a stretcher and stapled the excess linen to the sides of the stretcher and surely displayed the poster like it was a painting. At some later time, it was removed from the stretcher, and the excess linen is very creased and has staple holes all around (this could easily be resolved by simply trimming the excess linen to around 1/4" from the poster and then no one would realize it had ever happened.
