Cline silent romantic fantasy comedy short (written in part by Roscoe 'Fatty' Arbuckle!; about a young man who loves a girl, but her father wants him to first make a success of himself before he can marry her, and he goes to the city to get a good job; he writes to his girl that he works in a hospital, and she daydreams that he is a surgeon, but actually, he is a helper to a veterinarian; in the next letter, he says he has gotten a new job on Wall Street "cleaning up", but he is only a sanitation worker; then he writes that he is on the stage, and she dreams of him being the lead actor in Shakespeare's Hamlet, but he is only an extra; finally, he says the police are following his every move, and she dreams he is a police captain, but actually, he is wanted by the police, and there is a slapstick scene with 100 cops chasing Buster!) starring Buster Keaton, Renee Adoree, Edward F. Cline, Joe Keaton (Buster Keaton's father!), Joe Roberts, and George Rowe. Note that only parts of this movie survive, and no complete print, which is a real shame!
