2 1932 Re-Release Theatrical Movie Lobby Cards (LCs; measure 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More)

The Immigrant, the 1917 Charles Chaplin silent New York City immigration comedy short (about immigrants in the early 1900s arriving in New York and the difficulties they encountered) starring Charlie Chaplin (Charles Chaplin), Edna Purviance, Eric Campbell, Henry Bergman, and Frank J. Coleman. Note that Charlie Chaplin himself came to America as an immigrant in the early 1910s, and he arrived at Ellis Island along with millions of other immigrants, so he certainly had first hand knowledge in how to act in this short!

Important Added Info: Note that, in 1932, RKO re-released several classic Charlie Chaplin comedy shorts (including The Cure, The Immigrant, and Easy Street), with "music and sound", and created entirely new lobby card sets for those shorts, including artwork title cards, and unusually, all of the cards have a "full bleed", meaning there are no white borders and the image goes to the edge on all four sides.

Condition: very good. The card pictured at top has paper loss at upper left and to a lesser extent at lower left (see our image). The other card has only tiny paper loss at upper left and both are otherwise in pretty nice condition and they have no tape whatsoever on the front or back, and they never have had any restoration of any kind!
