An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More) Tarnish, the 1924 George Fitzmaurice silent romantic love triangle melodrama ("The great American love lyric!"; "From the famous Broadway stage success by Gilbert Emery") starring May McAvoy, Ronald Colman, Marie Prevost, Albert Gran, Priscilla Bonner, and Harry Myers. Note that English Ronald Colman had been gone to New York in 1920 and had acted on the stage, and in 1923, he co-starred in The White Sister, which got him a contract with Samuel Goldwyn, but he was still not a major star, and he was second billed in this movie, but just a year later, he WOULD become a major star and remain one for two decades. Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline). Condition: good. There are some tiny bits of image loss around the edges and someone put clear tape around the edges of the front of the glass to help hold it in place. The theater that used this slide wrote the days the movie was playing in the play dates section at the bottom of the glass. Learn More about condition grades
