An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Argentinean Movie Poster (measures approximately 29" x 43" [74 x 109 cm]) (Learn More) The Clock, the classic 1945 Vincente Minnelli World War II (WWII) military romantic love-at-first-sight melodrama ("Every second a heart- beat-"; about a World War II soldier from a small town on leave in New York City who has a whirlwind romance with an adorable New Yorker; one of the greatest romantic movies ever made!) starring Judy Garland ("Darling of 'St. Louis'!"), Robert Walker ("'Private Hargrove' himself!"), James Gleason, Keenan Wynn, and Marshall Thompson NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned one example of this Argentinean poster, and it sold for $355! Note that apparently they had a similar situation in Argentina to that in the U.S., in that there was a large Spanish speaking population in America in the 1930s and 1940s, and studios would create dubbed versions of their movies in Spanish, and they would release them to U.S. theaters in areas that had large Spanish speaking populations, and they would print special posters that said "Toda en Espanol". We have only seen a very few Argentinean posters like this, which were apparently printed for use in areas of Argentina where Castilian was spoken, and there was a dubbed version of this movie created, and this poster reads "Totalmente en Castellano", which makes it a very interesting curiosity. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and some tiny bits of paper loss and slight darkening on parts of the folds.
