An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Italian One-Panel (known in Italy as a "2 Fogli") Movie Poster (1p; measures 39" x 55" [99 x 140 cm]) (Learn More) Polidor (born Ferdinand Guillaume) was a French-born Italian actor and director from the 1910s to the 1960s. He was very popular until the advent of sound (starring in over 300 silent movies, often mocking the bourgeoise and class distinction!), when he was relegated to non-starring roles. Famed Italian director Federico Fellini was a great fan of Polidor's early work and cast him in Le notti di Cabiria, La Dolce Vita, and 8 1/2, and Pier Paolo Pasolini cast him in Accattone. He passed away in 1977 at the age of 90. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that Polidor made a movie in 1914 called "Polidor Gigante", which was released in England as "Polidor as a Giant". We would think there is an excellent chance that this poster is for that movie, given that he is standing next to a giant man!
