An Autographed 4 1/2" x 6" [11 x 15 cm] Cut Album Page (Learn More) Lupe Velez was a well loved Mexican actress during the late 1920s to the early 1940s and best remembered as Carmelita Lindsay in the "Mexican Spitfire" series of movies. Her romantic life, however, was a disaster (including a battling on again off again romance with Johnny Weissmuller), so much so that in 1944, she committed suicide with sleeping pills while pregnant with her first child. Some of her movies include: Kongo, The Half Naked Truth, The Gaucho, The Squaw Man, Mexican Spitfire Out West, Mexican Spitfire, and the Girl from Mexico. AND Lilian Bond was an English actress from the 1920s to the 1950s. Some of her movies include: No More Children, Pirates of Tripoli, The Old Dark House, The Sniper, Shadow on the Wall, and Just a Gigolo Important Added Info: This cut album page has been personally autographed (signed) by BOTH Lupe Velez AND Lilian Bond (each actress signed a different side of the album page). It could be matted with a vintage or repro still and framed together to make a cool display (of course, you would have to decide which side you wanted to display!). Note that this item was consigned to us by a man who was a major movie memorabilia dealer from the 1980s on. During that time, he would regularly purchase collections of movie memorabilia from both dealers and collectors, and in some of those collections he purchased autographed items, and over the years he did not re-sell any of the autographed items. Now he has gathered up together all of his autographed items and consigned them to us. So all of the items from this consignor we are auctioning were purchased by this dealer from longtime dealers and collectors, and we feel it is quite likely that the autograph on this item is authentic! As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction. On non-signed items, we give a "lifetime guarantee" on everything we auction, but on signed items, we give the above modified guarantee of 30 days after the auction closes.
