Nicknamed "the Bambino" and "the Sultan of Swat", he is perhaps one of the most famous baseball players to have played the game, having led the Red Sox and the Yankees to a total of seven World Series championships. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1936 only a year after his retirement! Ruth passed away in 1948 at the age of 53. Important Added Info: Note that this still has been trimmed and it now measures 8 1/4" x 10" [21 x 25 cm]. Condition: very good.
