An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Man's Castle, the 1933 Frank Borzage Depression era romantic love triangle melodrama ("Her heart was like a secret city... but his flaming love laid siege to it and captured her forevermore..."; "Theirs was a love as mighty as life itself!"; "They drank freely from the fountain of love --- intoxicated with a passion that blinded them to all but their own great romance--"; "'Love me more than yesterday - and less today than tomorrow...'"; "From the story by Lawrence Hazard"; in sharp counterpoint to the cheery romantic musicals that were popular at the time, this movie has Tracy as a wandering laborer who meets up with beautiful yet broke Loretta Young and he marries her, but, as is his style, plans to move on, but when he discovers she is pregnant, he tries to commit a major robbery so that he can leave her with enough money to take care of her and her baby; unsentimental and reflective of the desperation of those times!) starring Spencer Tracy, Loretta Young, Glenda Farrell (as a showgirl who wants Tracy for a playmate!), Arthur Hohl, Walter Connolly, Marjorie Rambeau, Dickie Moore, and Helen Jerome Eddy NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: very good. There is some odd very faint staining scattered in the solid brown areas across the center of the card (in the men's jackets). It is very faint and mostly only noticeable when the card is tilted to the light. We are not sure what would have caused this, but one possibility is that someone might have glued glitter to the jackets, and that it fell off over the years. In any event, it truly is not very noticeable. Otherwise, The card has a 1/4" tear in the upper left blank border and a small crease in the top right corner, and someone put tape on the back of both of those areas. There is a thin strip of darkening in the extreme outer edge of the right blank border and a faint water stain in the outer edge of the lower right blank border. There are three tiny bits of surface paper loss in the bottom center of the tablecloth. Other than the above, the card is in nice condition! Learn More about condition grades
