eMoviePoster.comAuction History Result WOMEN IN CAGES 1sh '71 Joe Smith art of sexy girls behind bars, Pam Grier! Appears in Attack of the B Movie PostersBOOK SOLD OUT The image at right appears in the book we published as shown above. While we once owned this item, we did not auction it through eMoviePoster.com (which is why no price or date is listed) nor do we have it available for purchase. Women in Cages (also released in the U.S. as "The Playpen", "Bamboo Doll House", and "Women's Penitentiary III"), the 1971 Gerardo de Leon (billed as "Jerry deLeon" and "Gerry de Leon") sexploitation female prison action thriller ("White skin on the black market."; "The dirty dolls of devil's island. You can meet them for a price!"; "Written by David Osterhout & Jim Natkins") starring Jennifer Gan, Judith M. Brown ("billed as Judy Brown"), Roberta Collins, Pam Grier (billed as "Pamela Grier"; in her third movie role!), Bernard Bonnin, and Charlie Davao. Note that this movie has sometimes incorrectly been identified as being the same movie as "The Big Doll House". It is NOT! After classic B-movie director Jack Hill finished making "The Big Doll House", the lead actresses were hired to play in a very similar movie ("Women in Cages") that was released the same year (basically an attempt to cash in on the better movie's success). These similarities have resulted in the two movies being confused (and it doesn't help that Jack Hill made a similar film with some of the same actor in different roles called "The Big Bird Cage" in 1972), but we are glad for the chance to set the record straight! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
