Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Folded French Movie Poster (measures 15 1/2" x 23 1/4") (Learn More) Les Quatre Cents Coups (released in the U.S. as "Francois Truffaut's The Four Hundred Blows"), the classic 1959 Francois Truffaut French New Wave semi-autobiographical troubled teen family relationship coming-of-age melodrama ("Angel Faces hell-bent for violence"; based on Truffaut's troubled childhood in France; Leaud played him as a young boy in this movie and went on to portray him in four other Truffaut movies!) starring Jean-Pierre Leaud, Claire Maurier, Albert Remy, Guy Decomble, Georges Flamant, and Patrick Auffay (as Rene) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: very good to fine. The poster is linenbacked; prior to restoration the poster had creases on the horizontal foldline (it was never folded vertically). There were pinholes in the corners and in the center of each border. Other than the above minor defects (which were expertly touched up during restoration), the poster was in excellent condition prior to backing and looks wonderful now!
