An Original Vintage Special Movie Dart Board Poster (measures 19" x 24" [48 x 61 cm]) (Learn More) Four For Texas, the 1963 Robert Aldrich gambling casino cowboy western comedy ("It's a daisy!"; "They're bustin' up the West like it's never been busted up before!"; "The far out story of the far west..."; "Take to the hills boys!"; "How the West was lost!" "How the West was lost with an assist by") starring Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Anita Ekberg, Ursula Andress, Charles Bronson, Victor Buono, The Three Stooges (Moe Howard, Larry Fine, and Joe DeRita; billed as "Guest Stars"), and Bob Steele NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: William George Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned one example of this incredibly politically incorrect promotional item (created by Warner Bros. to promote the Robert Aldrich western, 4 For Texas), and that was 13 years ago. The person who purchased it has enjoyed it for these past 13 years (but fortunately, he did not throw anymore darts at it), and he has now reconsigned it to us, so this is still the only example we have ever auctioned, and it is certainly far more politically incorrect now than it was 13 years ago! Note that this was a special promotional item sent by the studio to theaters that had booked this movie. It comes in its original mailing carton, and it tells the recipients that they should use it as a dart board! Note that in today's world, even thinking of a promotion like this would surely get those responsible immediately fired, but those were certainly very different times, and this ridiculous dart board is certainly a great reminder that the "good old days" weren't all "good"! Also note that because this item contains an unclothed woman, so we have placed a white bar over that area, for those who are bothered by such images. Of course, the actual item does not have that white bar! Condition: good to very good. The theater that received the dart board actually used it for that purpose (as was intended), and there are a few small holes in Andress' body and scattered throughout the background. There are scuff marks scattered throughout and there is a horizontal crease across the center. Overall, the dart board is in generally nice condition, but please do not bid unless you can accept the pinholes and scuffs! Learn More about condition grades
