Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (27" x 41") (Learn More)

a circa 1950s "stock" poster created by Hal Roach for use by theaters showing re-releases of his 1930s and 1940s Laurel & Hardy movies in 1950s. Note that the poster has cool artwork of Stan Laurel & Oliver Hardy! Theaters would order this poster, which had a large blank area at the bottom right. Sometimes the studio would overprint the stock poster with the title of a specific movie, and sometimes they sent a series of large paper snipes with the titles of specific entries of the series, so the theater could paste in each snipe as needed, thus getting many posters for the price of one. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here.

Condition: good to very good. There are four stamps on the back of the poster that bleed through to the front in the top of the poster. There is discoloration and separation on the foldlines (most noticeable on the vertical foldline).
