An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Argentinean Movie Poster (measures 29 1/4" x 43 1/2" [74 x 110 cm]) (Learn More) Johnny Mack Brown stock, the stock poster used by movie theaters to advertise Johnny Mack Brown Monogram cowboy western movies. Theaters would order this poster, which has a blank area at the bottom of the poster where the studio would overprint the title of a specific movie (or glue a snipe to that area with the name of the movie they were showing), thus getting many posters for the price of one. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had a 15" irregular vertical tear starting near the top of Brown's jacket and running down into Brown's sleeve. There was tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and some minor border wear. There once was a Spanish language title written in the bottom blank area that has mostly either faded or been erased. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking.
