Revues featured extravagant costumes, sets and effects, and often nude women. In 1926, Josephine Baker caused a sensation at the Folies Bergere by dancing in a costume consisting of a skirt made of a string of artificial bananas and little else. It has been the stage for many other famous acts including: Maurice Chevalier, Fernandel, W.C. Fields, Ella Fitzgerald, and many, many more! If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that while we have auctioned a number of similar Folies Bergere programs from the 1930s, we have never before auctioned THIS 1930 edition! Note that we have pictured the front cover and several interior 2-page spreads from this program.
