An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Title Lobby Card (LC TC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Sunset of Power, the 1936 Ray Taylor cowboy western ("A masked rider! Rustlers! Mustery! Death-defying action!"; "Thrilling mystery! Wild stampede! Dare-devil riding!") starring Buck Jones, Dorothy Dix, Charles King, Ben Corbett, Donald Kirke, Charles Middleton, and William Lawrence. Note that Buck Jones' white horse was named Silver (just like The Lone Ranger's later on!), and Silver made 73 movies with Buck Jones from 1922 until Jones' death in 1942 in the tragic Cocoanut Grove fire. But oddly, Silver was almost never billed on the posters for Buck Jones' movies as so many other famous horses (most especially Tom Mix's Tony) were! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned one example of this title card, and that was 8 years ago! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: very good. There is faint water staining in the bottom blank border and two pinholes at top center. Otherwise, the card is in nice condition.
