An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More)

Ready For Love, the 1934 Marion Gering newspaper journalism romantic comedy ("Rarin' to go!"; "From the novel by Roy Flannagan"; about a beautiful young teenage girl who runs away from boarding school and gets in trouble, but is befriended by a newspaper reporter, and they fall in love and move to New York City) starring Ida Lupino, Richard Arlen, Marjorie Rambeau, Junior Durkin, and Beulah Bondi. Note that Ida Lupino had just turned 16 when this movie started filming, and her boyfriend Richard Arlen was 35, something that was done in the 1920s and 1930s, but would certainly not be done in today's world!
NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that while we have previously auctioned lobby cards, window cards, and stills from this movie, we have never before auctioned a one-sheet until now!

What IS linenbacking? Learn More

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good to fine. The poster had a few tiny creases and scuffs on the right half of the top fold and a much lesser amount on the other folds. It had a pinhole at top center and a tiny tear in the left of the top border. Overall, the poster was in very good to fine condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well!
