Whitechapel, the 1920 E.A. Dupont (Ewald Andre Dupont) German silent England crime melodrama (which was supposedly based on actual London police reports) starring Hans Mierendorff, Grit Hegesa, Carl Clewing, Marga Kierska, and Otto Gebuhr. Note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. If anyone knows more about this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here.

Important Added Info: Note that this is a German trade ad that was likely sent to German movie theaters to try to get them to book this movie. It has great art of a silhouette holding a dead body in an expressionist distorted view of London by Erich Stahl & Otto Arpke, who also created striking artwork for the 1920 film Das Cabinet des Dr. Caligari (The Cabinet of Doctor Caligari). Also note that this is a "country of origin" item for this German movie!
