An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Window Card Movie Poster (WC; measures 14" x 22") (Learn More) King Cowboy, the 1928 Robert De Lacey silent Northern Africa adventure cowboy western ("SPECTACULAR Triumph of MIX ACTION!"; "Sizzling with Tom Mix punch!";"King of them all! In greatest of all his westerns!"; Tom and his fellow cowboys go to Northern Africa where they are captured by an Arab sheik, and the boss' daughter is put in the sheik's harem, but of course they escape!) starring Tom Mix, Tony (The Wonder Horse!), Sally Blane, Lew Meehan, Barney Furey and Frank Leigh NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this window card was never folded. Often window cards would be folded across the middle, because that would make them 11" x 14", and they could then be sent with standard folded posters. Most collectors put an added value on a window card that has never been folded. Condition: good. The back of the card had darkened considerably, and the front of the card has darkened somewhat. There are creases and a jagged tear in the middle of the right border, mostly in the background, but extending down into the top of the second "O" of "COWBOY", and there is tape on the back of that area. There is a 5" tear in the left of the bottom border extending through the lower part of the horse's body. There are two small areas of paper loss in the left blank border and in the bottom right blank corner, where someone put a piece of tape on the back. There are some other small tears in the borders. The entire card is fragile, but any talented restorer could certainly paperback the card and since the tears are clean, once the card is mended, it will look great, and it will require little paint restoration anywhere in the image.
