An Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More)

Bobbed Hair, the 1925 Alan Crosland silent romantic love triangle comedy ("From the novel by twenty authors", with screenplay by Lewis Milestone; about a young woman who is heiress to a fortune, and she has two suitors, and one won't marry her if she "bobs" her hair, and her aunt tells her she will be disinherited if she bobs her hair, but she decides to do it anyway!) starring Marie Prevost, Kenneth Harlan, Louise Fazenda, John Roche, Helene Costello, Dolores Costello, and Emily Fitzroy. Note that the new short hairstyle for women that was referred to as "bobbed hair" was all the rage at this time, and it was natural that a movie would be made with that title (and the lobby cards have wacky border art of a woman's bobbed hair surrounding each scene!).
NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
Important Added Info: Note that this still shows Prevost in a nun's outfit, but that does not seem to work into the plot of this movie in the slightest, plus it is a comedy! Perhaps the movie changed prior to final cut, or there might be another explanation. If anyone knows more about this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here.

Condition: very good to fine.
