An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Italian Photobusta Movie Poster (measures 19" x 26 1/2") (Learn More) Muhomatsu no Issho (released in the U.S. in 1960 as "The Rickshaw Man"), the 1958 Hiroshi Inagaki Japanese rickshaw driver romantic comedy melodrama starring Toshiro Mifune, Hideko Takamine, Hiroshi Akutagawa, Chishu Ryu, Chouko Iida, and Haruo Tanaka. Note that this movie was a re-make of "Muhomatsu no issho" (The Life of Matsu the Untamed), the 1943 Hiroshi Inagaki movie. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster was folded across the middle and there were creases and scuffs along that fold. There were pinholes, creases, scuffs, and small tears around the edges of the poster and some scuffs scattered through the poster. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can clearly see signs of the above defects (a restorer could likely perform additional touch up to them without re-backing the poster).
