An Unfolded Commercial Poster (made to be sold directly to the public; measures 18" x 24 1/2" [46 x 62 cm]) (Learn More)

3 Days of Peace and Music, the 1970s commercial poster advertising for the Woodstock Music and Arts Fair's An Aquarian Exposition, more commonly known as The Woodstock Music Festival, that was held in White Lake, New York from August 15th through the 17th. Some of the musicians and artists featured include Sweetwater, Canned Heat, Creedence Clearwater, Grateful Dead, Janis Joplin, Jefferson Airplane, Santana, The Who, Blood, Sweat and Tears, and Jimi Hendrix. This poster features great artwork of a dove perched on a guitar neck by Arnold Skolnick! If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here.

Artist: Arnold Skolnick
Important Added Info: Note that we really know very little about this poster. It is printed on a fairly heavy paper stock and it was never folded. We strongly suspect it is a commercial poster that was created in 1976 in conjunction with the re-release of the 1970 movie Woodstock. We feel this because it has a 1976 NSS number (76/192) written on the back in grease pencil. it might have been sold as a commercial poster in 1976, or it might have been some kind of giveaway (it has no markings on the bottom that would indicate how it was used). There is a similar poster from 1969, but that is clearly different from this poster, and this poster is absolutely NOT from 1969. Given these unknowns, PLEASE DO NOT BID ON THIS POSTER UNLESS YOU CAN ACCEPT THE UNCERTAINTY AS TO ITS ORIGIN.

Condition: good to very good. The poster was never folded. It has some scuff marks scattered in various areas (see our image) but is otherwise in pretty nice condition.
