The brand is most famous for its cigarettes' strength, especially in its original unfiltered version, and was re-branded in 1954 to Gauloise Disque Bleu in hopes it would increase sales. In July 2016, the French government considered a ban on Gauloises because they were deemed "too stylish and cool". What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster was never folded, but it had many creases and scuffs scattered throughout, more so around the edges. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking.
