An Original Vintage Theatrical Window Card Movie Poster (WC; measures 14" x 22") (Learn More)

The First World War, the 1934 Laurence Stallings (there is no credited director for this documentary, but Stallings wrote the source book and edited it) World War I (WWI) military documentary ("For women who cherish life! For men who cherish living!"; "Can this happen again? Is it happening now?"; "From the secret archives of all the great nations!"; "At last you can see mankind's confession!"; "All humanity the actors! All of life the plot!"; "It tells the truth - you've waited 20 years to hear!"; "Every scene a living newspaper headline!"; "...secret films from nations' archives"; "Produced by Truman Talley [in association with Simon & Schuster]"; this was produced by the Fox Movietone News arm of Fox Film Corporation and was based on the book by Lawrence Stallings; it was originally a Fox Movietone newsreel, and it was expanded into a feature film, and using stock-and-archive footage, it tells the story of World War I from inception to conclusion) narrated by Pedro de Cordoba

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that this poster has been paperbacked. What is paperbacking? This means the poster was backed onto a paper backing (acid-free), that is similar in feel to that of the original poster (except somewhat heavier). It is a similar process to linenbacking, except that most collectors use linenbacking for one-sheets and paperbacking for half-sheets, inserts, window cards, and lobby cards.

Condition: very good. The blank top of the window card had been trimmed off and there were creases, tears, and some tiny areas of paper loss around the edges of the card, very slightly extending into the image. A talented restorer re-created the missing top blank area and performed slight restoration to the image area, and the card displays nicely!
