A 1956 Re-Release 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Television Still (Learn More) The Unlighted Road, the 1955 Justus Addiss CBS TV (television) romantic crime melodrama (about a pair of young lovers whose happiness is shattered when the boy gets involved with hijackers and is accused of murder) starring James Dean, Murvyn Vye, Edgar Stehli, Patricia Hardy, and Voltaire Perkins. Note that this was an episode of the Schlitz Playhouse of Stars series NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this still is from the 6/1/56 re-broadcast of the episode of "Schlitz Playhouse of Stars" (for the "Unlighted Road" episode starring James Dean and Patricia Hardy). We know that for certain because it has the date printed on the snipe on the back. What happened was that after James Dean's untimely death in 1955, there was a massive number of requests for CBS to re-broadcast this TV show, which the snipe says is "Dean's only film to television starring vehicle". Since we highly doubt any stills or other advertising from the first presentation of it exist, this is likely the only way to obtain anything from this, and we have never auctioned anything from it before! Condition: good. The still was used in a newspaper or magazine and there are paint enhancements within the image, so the image would show better in the printed article. There are also smudges, creases, and light stains scattered throughout the still. Learn More about condition grades
