An Original Vintage Folded World War I Poster (measures 20" x 30" [51 x 76 cm]) (Learn More) Save the Products of the Land, the 1918 U.S. World War I (WWI) Home Front poster ("Eat more fish - they feed themselves") created by the United States Food Administration to encourage people to eat more fish in order to save beef, pork and chicken for war-related needs. Note that this poster features Charles Livingston Bull art of several fish. Artist: Charles Livingston Bull Condition: good to very good. The poster has pinholes around the edges (some are torn or enlarged due to rough removal) and some creases and tiny tears along portions of some edges but there are larger tears along portions of the left edge (backed by masking tape). There is paper loss at lower left. The poster was light partially folded back vertically approximately 6" from the left edge at one time leaving behind a faint crease. Most of the art of the poster is "all there" and is generally in pretty nice condition and after proper restoration the poster will display well (but of course bear in mind the poster's condition and the cost of restoration before bidding on it.)
