The Uninvited, the 1944 Lewis Allen romantic fantasy suspense ghost horror thriller ("From the most popular mystery romance since 'Rebecca'!"; "The story of a love that is out of this world!"; based on the novel by Dorothy Macardle) starring Ray Milland, Ruth Hussey, Donald Crisp, Cornelia Otis Skinner, Barbara Everest, Gail Russell (billed as "Introducing the Exciting Beauty of Paramount's New Star Gail Russell whose first love is shadowed by the spectres of the past!"), Dorothy Stickney, and Alan Napier. Note that Gail Russell suffered from terrible stage fright, and she was encouraged to drink while making this movie, to "calm her nerves", but that led to her becoming an alcoholic, and having a tragic end to her career and an early death.

Condition: good to very good. The cards have varying amounts of pretty minor border defects and all have varying amounts of smudges and scuffs scattered in the image. The card in the top left of our image has tiny white marks on the upper lip of both stars, a pinhole in Milland's hair, and some faint smudges scattered throughout the card, including in their faces. There is some odd faint staining in the top left of Russell's hair, extending into the background above it. That card is in "good" condition, and the other cards range from "good to very good" to "very good". The set has never had any restoration.
