Griffith (billed as "David Wark Griffith") silent South Seas tropical island adultery romantic crime murder adventure melodrama ("From the Collier's Weekly Story 'The Black Beach' by Ralph Stock"; about a man whose wife has had multiple affairs, and he kills her lovers and then escapes to a South Seas island with his teen daughter, but then a detective with a handsome young assistant tracks him down, and the assistant falls in love with the daughter!) starring Carol Dempster, Richard Barthelmess, George MacQuarrie, Anders Randolf, and Florence Short NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned two examples of this title card, and one of those examples has now been reconsigned to us, so this is still only one of two examples we have ever auctioned! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: good. There is a stain in the upper left of the blue background, with a long vertical scratch and faint smudges around that area. There is a 1/2" tear in the left of the top border, with some smudges, creases, and scuffs around the edges. See our super-sized images to get a good sense of the condition of this card.
