An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Double-Sided French One-Panel "Grande" Test Print Movie Poster (1p; measures 46 1/2" x 69" [118 x 175 cm]) (Learn More) Fantasia 2000, the 1999 James Algar & Gaetan Brizzi Walt Disney family animated animation cartoon musical fantasy ("Featuring seven new sequences plus 'The Sorcerer's Apprentice'"; an update of the original movie with new interpretations of great works of classical music; set to the music of classical composers including Leopold Stokowski and Beethoven) hosted by Steve Martin, Quincy Jones, Bette Midler, James Earl Jones, Penn & Teller, and Angela Lansbury NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is a very rare uncut printer's test poster (often referred to as a "printer's proof")! Before a poster was printed in large quantities, the printer would print a limited number of posters as "test" posters. Because they needed to be shown to people at the studio, people in the art department, the stars, etc, they would print a number of test posters and distribute them to these people. Some of them would be fully trimmed, but often they would leave the color chart on the left edge of many of the posters, which added an extra inch to the width of the poster (which explains why the poster measures 28" x 41"). Once these printer's test posters were shown to the various people in a position to "OK" them, the printer would print the full print run of the posters. Not only is a printer's test poster far more rare than a regular poster, but it is also 100% genuine as there is no fear of purchasing a reproduction. Note also that this is a "country of origin" poster for this French movie! Also note that this poster has been trimmed and it now measures 47" x 62 1/2" [119 x 159 cm]. Finally, note that this is a double-sided poster. From the 1990s on, movie posters were often made in double-sided versions (for use in light boxes). If we do not note that a poster is double-sided (as this is), then it is single-sided. Note that the image on the reverse is a mirror image of the image on the front!
