An Autographed 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] REPRODUCTION Still (Learn More) Roy Barcroft (born Howard Harold Ravenscroft) was an actor from the 1930s to the 1960s. His acting career began with uncredited parts in films such as Mata Hari and serials such as Flash Gordon and S.O.S. Coast Guard, but he is best remembered as a villain in countless cowboy westerns with Johnny Mack Brown, Buck Jones, Gene Autry, Hopalong Cassidy, Roy Rogers, and more. Some of his films include: Ghost of Zorro, The Way West, and Monte Walsh. He passed away in 1969 at the age of 67. Important Added Info: Note that this still has been personally autographed (signed) by Roy Barcroft! Note that this item was consigned to us from the family of Ken Jones, who was an author of books about movies (including books about character actors and western stars). In the course of researching his books, he became friends with many Hollywood actors, and he would ask them to autograph stills for him (originals if he had them, or repros if he did not), and they obliged, usually returning the stills to him with a personalized inscription "To Ken". The family does not have a letter of authenticity for this signed item, but we feel certain it is authentic, given Mr. Jones' personal relationship with the star. Condition: good to very good.
