12 1957 Re-Release Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10" (8x10s) Movie Stills (Learn More)

Torero (released in other English-speaking countries as "Bullfighter"), the 1956 (released in the U.S. in 1957) Carlos Velo Mexican matador toreador documentary ("Breathtaking new entertainment experience!"; "Special Award... 'for its Passionate Originality' Venice Film Festival"; about the life of Luis Procuna, with flashbacks) featuring Luis Procuna (billed "as himself"), "the world's greatest matadors" Manolete and Carlos Arruza, Consuela Procuna, and Luis Castro. Note that the credited writer for this documentary is "Hugo Mozo" who is actually Hugo Butler. Butler was blacklisted during the "red scare" and went to Mexico City with other blacklisted writers including Dalton Trumbo in the early 1950s!
